MyExpensesOnline has joined forces with local businesses to raise money for UK cancer victims.
Neil Olsson, Business Manager at MyExpensesOnline has been campaigning over the last 5 years for the world’s leading charity for beating cancer, Cancer Research UK.
As well as being an Ambassador for the Charity, he is on the local Crewe and Nantwich committee, actively generating awareness and support for the positive effects that the charity has on fighting cancer.
Neil, like many of us who know too well the effects that cancer can have, is dedicated through hard work and determination to making a positive difference.
This September he will be participating in the Manchester SHINE night walk, where fundraisers and supporters from around the UK will come together and walk 13.1 miles to raise money for cancer patients.
Neil said: “My family lost my Grandma at the early age of 48 and we really want to be able to help other families to avoid the heart ache that mine went through. I want to show people that even by raising £250, it could make the world of difference to cancer victims and their close ones. It would fund two cancer information nurses to help support friends and family and educate patients to the options available for them”
Incredibly Neil smashed his £250 target within the first 24 hours of starting his fundraising campaign, contacting local businesses for their sponsorship and donations.
He is delighted with the interest he has had so far, with generous donations from Mornflake Oats and the Absolute Recruitment UK Ltd, both based in Crewe.
Richard Coope, Managing Director of MyExpensesOnline, said: “We are extremely proud of Neil. As well as being a valued member of our team, I admire the energy and enthusiasm that Neil gives Cancer Research UK and we as a company will be supporting him every step of the way”
With only 4 weeks to go until the night walk starts on the 8th September, Neil will continue to open every avenue available to him to raise as much money as possible to support Cancer Research UK development.
